One India for Shopify.

Sell on ONDC, India’s open commerce network, without leaving Shopify. Your products are listed from Shopify; ONDC orders arrive in Shopify.

01Before you start

  • A Shopify store that ships within India and prices in INR.
  • A One India seller account. If you don’t have one, you can create it during setup — you’ll need your GSTIN or PAN and the bank account your ONDC earnings should be paid into.

02Setting up

  1. Install One India from the Shopify App Store and approve the permissions on Shopify’s screen.
  2. You’re brought to One India. Sign in (or create your account and set up your store — your Shopify install is remembered for seven days).
  3. In One India, open Settings › Integrations and press Finish connecting. The screen shows “Connected”.
  4. Press Sync products now. One India matches each Shopify product type to an ONDC category; anything it can’t place is listed for you to match by hand, once.

03What stays in sync

  • Products and prices. New and changed products in Shopify update your ONDC listings, usually within a minute. Only products that are Active in Shopify are listed; drafts and archived products are not. Add a photo — a listing without one shows a placeholder and sells poorly.
  • Stock. Sold out in Shopify means sold out on ONDC.
  • Orders. An accepted ONDC order appears in your Shopify admin tagged “ONDC”, with the items, taxes, delivery charge and any discount exactly as the buyer paid. Fulfil it in Shopify as usual and the buyer’s app is updated. If you cancel it in Shopify, One India asks you to confirm the cancellation with a reason — ONDC requires one — and only then is the buyer told and refunded by their app.
  • Each of the three can be switched off in One India without disconnecting.

04What One India does not do

  • It never changes your Shopify products, prices or stock — information flows from Shopify to ONDC, not back.
  • It does not read your Shopify customers, or any order that did not come from ONDC.
  • It does not take payment through Shopify. ONDC buyers pay in their own app; your earnings are settled to your bank account by One India.

05If something looks wrong

  • A product isn’t listed. Check it is Active in Shopify, then open Settings › Integrations — products One India could not place in a category are shown there.
  • “Needs attention” on the Integrations screen. The app was uninstalled from Shopify or lost its permission. Open One India from your Shopify admin (Apps › One India) and it reconnects by itself.
  • An order is missing in Shopify. It is always in One India › Orders. Check that “Orders” is switched on under Settings › Integrations.

06Disconnecting and uninstalling

Press Disconnect Shopify in One India, or uninstall the app in Shopify — either stops all syncing immediately and destroys the key Shopify gave us. Your One India listings stay, and simply stop following Shopify.
